These first pictures are from an early Easter celebration and they are minus Max and myself. Max was sick with what we thought was the tail end of a normal stomach bug and what turned out to be the middle of a rather hideous one. Though Kap and Camille are pictured here it was not long before they got sick too and we sort of postponed our Easter celebration. But there was this time at Nanny and Paw paws' the only time any of us wore our Easter outfits (Max and I will have to find somewhere to go so that we can get dressed up in our spring finest)
The sweet girls...
The clever "I've got this egg hunt thing figured out" boy...
All of these kids need to go to the Lily school of smiling for the camera :)
The McWhorter family... before they multiplied
just picture a cute little bald one in the middle, sucking on his finger
egg hunting- it is a family affair
I am sorry Max couldn't play with his cute cute cousin Cash.
I didn't mean for these pic.s to be here... just remember them when we get to the Cabin pic.s. I am always trying to capture dusk here and can't ever get it to translate through the camera. I finally found the mannual setting on my camera and am so happy to have gotten these!
I love these two trees.
random... and a little mean- yes, it's his sister's princess helmet.
I was just watching Knox eat breakfast this morning and thought he looked so old and so handsome!
Max's Easter present was an inflatable pool, but he was sick so we put it inside.
Knox had a field trip at the Sam Houston museum in Huntsville and we all met him there and then headed to the Cabin. He has the sweetest class and Teacher.
with his buddies eating lunch... talking about who knows what- I assure you I am zoomed in from a safe distance here :)
love this one
The boys
Camille being very well behaved!
and of course... the coon skin cap... Knox and his friend Mathew (beside him) have been in class together since pre- k (that's 6 yrs!)
rock, paper, scissors
My friend Kim is amazing with a camera and at some point she grabbed mine and took these
Ahh, the lake... It was just beautiful!!!
Knox can just go grab his fishing pole himself now and work his way around the lake- catch them and throw them back- realy great to watch since his dad and Pawpaw and I am sure Great Pawpaw (Knox) have done the same on this lake. He is a lucky boy to have such history here.
Love this one
Dad, this one is just to make you salivate :)
back home to finish our spring celebration (the weekend before while neighbors were egg hunting and lunching, we were closed up inside sipping chicken soup). We inaugurate each spring/summer with the slip-n-slide. It is rarely warm enough when we do this, but we are so anxious at this time of year for summer.
I love this! He is handsome no matter where you put him, but here, filling up the blow up pool in the middle of our kid run suburban backyard, especially so!
The egg hunt
The glow in the dark night time egg hunt- so fun!
And we have celebrated! The whole weekend was an abundant gift and could, thus, not be more in line with the meaning of Easter!

It truly was a GLORIOUS weekend! So glad that you finally got to have your egg hunt at home. Perhaps now everyone will be well again. Love you all, Nanny
ReplyDeleteLoved your pics Wendy! So sorry you all have had the "bug"! Your time at the farm looked like so much fun! We need to go up there right now and enjoy the cool springtime! We all know it will not last long enough!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics and of course, the commentary ----- never the same without it. Your "bug" flew over here last week and I was out of work two days - AFTER being gone the entire week before to California . . . ah, life!
