Merry Merriment and other Merriness

Christmas Eve morn... Cherrios in full Christmas dress (Camille got up and put on her Christmas dress from last yeay)"what you talkin about Willis"
"It's a wonderful life" annual reading
My family came over that night. I promised her I wouldn't post this, but isn't she beautiful! (He's not bad either)
Cousins!
Knox and his loot
Christmas morning... Camille and Deanna Layne Kaplan
Knox and DSI
Max and... whatever it's called
off to Grandmommies... with Deanna
The men and the toy
Sweet Tatum (cousin) and Max- I love this picture!
Christmas at the McWhorters
The cousins!
An impromptu dance on the lawn for Paw paw
The family
Camille in crown- a natural fit
Love this!
G.G. and Max (he never falls asleep like this!)
...the village and the child...
generations McWhorter
rackin up!

This has become the dancing spot in Nanny and Paw paw's house. I am sure it is what they envisioned when they made their dining room.
It was a great Christmas! We love our families! (I am sorry mom and dad- I didn't get one picture of y'all- I don't know how that happened)

Cousins and Skating

I love that Camille and Camille (cousins) are becoming good friends. They hung out the whole night at our family Christmas party.

Max in hat
Camille with "The best present ever!"
We had a sleepover with Cousin Lily...
...and a fashion show! There were princesses...
ballerinas...
a mouse...
an m&m...
and TWO aliens!
There was also a reindeer ride.
Cammile on skates (quite a sight- the craziest, most determined, maniacal skating I've ever seen- there was no smiling)
She had a couple of fans!
Sweet brothers!

Our Little Angel

Camille as Gabriel..

This looks like it came of the cover of "The Greatest Christmas Pageant Ever"
This reminds me of that common wedding photo- some day her wings will be a vail- I am shamelessly trying to make her Dad cry.

She took it all very seriously. It was really a pretty sweet night.

Camille and "Bishop Clause"

My favorite picture of the night- again like her wedding photo...

precipitation, piano, performance, pals, party, posada

Perhaps you have not heard... but it snowed in Houston (this update is for my many out of city followers)You can't see the snow here, but it's there... or there is something wrong with my children.
Hugging?...Yes, there is definitely something wrong with these two.
Oh yes, there was playing!
...and more snow catching. I hope snow is low cal. because they ate a lot.
Two ways to wear a hat.
Max really really likes his walking toy!
Camille isn't exactly "playing" the piano yet, so at the recital she clapped and stomped and jumped up and down in "If you're happy and you know it." She is learning theory and rhythm, none the less she practiced her part and was very proud of it.
Knox, on the other hand is really progressing. He is quite musical and I know one day he will be glad we make him take piano.
My nephew Noah- so cute, but do NOT tell him that- It is the worst sort of insult to call him handsome.
This is why we buy non breakable ornaments of a certain size...

Camille's school concert. We were instructed not to wave, but Daddy missed the memo.
She looked so pretty.
The Jansen clan! Max and Gus are so close in age and size. It was so fun having them together!
Sooo cute!!!

He is adorable and so sweet! We were so glad to finally meet this little guy and to see our friends. The kids played till all hours.

Obviously his good looks are no coincidence! What a happy baby- this was like 11:00pm
Cash, my sweet nephew turned 1 and in style...
He was not daunted as some kids are by the cake. He got right down to business.
Max had a lot of fun. One day he and Cash will notice each other.
Finally, we went to light the heights and our friends Posada. It was a great evening and I am so sorry we didn't take more pic.s. We picked good people to befriend in college, because they are still all great people and we still love hanging out with them! These are my kids on my friends cool front porch.

This is Jeanie, my roomate from college and her beautiful family. Aren't these kids georgous! (I have no idea why this font is blue- let's pretend it is an artistic decision that you just aren't cool enough to get :)
