A Beautiful Sunday, A One Yr. Old and A Bit of Shameless Boasting

I think that Max looks a lot like my dad in this picture. Not because his cheeks are full of snacks :) but his eyes!I don't know how you celebrate your birthday, but may I suggest a swing in your crown.
brothers...hanging out
This is where barbies take a weeks vacation (the top of the fridge) when Camille, the five yr. old, rolls her eyes at me. I don't mean, by the way, a mild "did she just roll her eyes..?" I mean a "give herself a headache from the effort put into a repetitive eye roll" If you ever see her Hannah Montanna Barbie up there you know it was particularly offensive :)
We had a beautiful Sunday at a great park out by us with friends. It was just one of those glorious afternoons!

There is absolutely no excuse for posting (or taking for that matter) this picture. Really, I have thought of a way to discreetly justify it's existence here, but truly there is nothing to say- I am just really proud of it :)

Max's 1st Birthday!

I am afraid Max will have to learn, as the other two have, that when it comes to parenting, Kap and I are just out to amuse ourselves :)
Max's first birthday BASH! This is Max and Great Grandmommie McWhorter (G.G.)
In good hands- Max with G.G. and his Great, Great Grandmommie Brown. He is a blessed one.
Max and Cash
Ah- the blow up slide! Worth the money! This is cousin Lily.
sweet Maggie Mae
Max walking under the supervision of Grandad and Paw paw.
Camille with The Great and The Great Great!
Honey and Max
Angie and Grandmommie Cunningham (Max's other Great Grandmother)
The boy. The crown. The shirt. Thank You ETSY!
The cake. Thank you Ekite Treats (and G.G.)

Obviously, it's his very first time to have sugar :)

I wasn't even clever enough to look for these- I was just browsing baby books for poss. favors and found this title- very pleased with this find!
(from left) Kay with Phoebe, Honey with Tripp, Honey with John Dudley, Grammy, Max and Nanny (seated) G.G. Great Great Grandmommie Brown and Great Grand. Cunningham
What beautiful Grandmothers!
Sweet girls!
Lauren and the Camilles
Knox and his buddy
Beautiful Phoebe in the playhouse
stacks of family
It was a great party and I am sorry There were no pictures of John Dudley, Tripp and Lillianna. The next morning Camille got right up and hit the slide. She has Bob the bear from her school for the weekend and he slid also.
With a wet slide you get creative
Our sweet neighbor came over- it was a great morning!

Knox came home from a sleepover and... more sliding!

Thank you family for celebrating with us. Connie I would like to thank you in advance for your comment, for without it there would be none! (Mom!)

We have steppage! The little guy is walking- because I don't have a picture of it, let me paint one for you- It happens on squishy legs that go down into perfect points of feet. There are a few quick tentative steps and then a puddling of squishy boy grinning and exposing the two tiniest, loneliest bottom teeth you've ever seen!

In case you were unsure, THIS is the way you eat your snacks.
The afore mentioned teeth
Thanks Nanny for the cute hat!

The BIG boy is doing great at his flag football games. We love watching him figure it all out- he is a funny boy- that mouth guard goes in when we get in the car on the way to the game and stays in the whole way home. I guess it is a pretty cool piece of equip. for a 10 yr old, or he is worried about our driving :)

We had our friends and there kiddoes over and while the adults visited the kids danced.

There is some real skill here..
Little brothers are not to be left out.
