Thanksgiving 09

We spent Thanksgiving at the "Cabin," "Farm," or "Cottage on the Lake" depending on who you ask. It was a beautiful day! I didn't get a big variety of pictures, basically my kids and my nieces and nephew, but it is too bad because there were a lot of McWhorters and kin that I did not capture.

You can't tell, but they are making the exact same face

Smart coaches should start recruiting this boy now!

These girls are crazy!
We spent the night and Nany provided Polar Express in 3d

Camille has really picked up the idea of posing...
I love Knox in the background doing his own thing. These pic.s are a great example of the difference in personality.

Celebrating Five!

Wow! This is going to be a long post and all of it revolving around Camille's 5th birthday. When Knox turned 5 we took him to Disney World so legitimately we had a pretty high bar to meet. She started her actual birthday with mickey mouse pancakes- thank you Daddy! -and a birthday hat to hold her hair back.

She learned how to pose at a fashion show party she recently attended... she really took to it! She had a fire station field trip on her birthday. Kap took off and we all went- it was a great day!

Then, my mother took her to get her nails done...Then we had to go eat at the exact same place we went for Knox's birthday and where as Knox wanted to be very dicreet about his birthday, Camille told everyone who sat or served us anything!
We had planned a park birthday party, but woke up to rain so rallied the troops (and a hired hand) and pulled of an in house party!!! We played this relay- dress up game that I remembered from one of my birthday parties. Julie, Karen, you were there.
.. some of my beautiful family.
The decor- I am quite proud of the decor. While I pictured these flowers hanging from trees, they translated well indoors.
The cupcakes. The decor, cupcakes, and party hats were my favorites and also all very budget friendly!
The sisters with the favor bags and hats.

The cutest two yr. old with the tallest block tower
The party...

I love all the bows, flower hats and balloons- it's cute chaos

beautiful Camilles
We scrambled and called a Hannah Montannah impersonator about 30 min. before the party started. She was great! The girls didn't know she was coming and don't know what to think in these first pictures.

"shock and awe" and sweet cousins

...but then they loosened up!

Do you see the way Camille is looking at her?

It was a great and necessary addition to our "bring it indoors" party.

What can I say- if the boy could run out of our house at this point he probably would. It was a great party. Thank you to everyone for your help and flexibility. I love my complicated, beautiful, outspoken, hilarious and loving five yr. old!!!
